Libby Story began in Greenville, Mississippi, in 2004 with a simple belief: style should be personal, expressive, and deeply connected to the life you live.

Founded by Libby McRight, the boutique was created as a destination for women seeking something beyond trends—pieces that felt unique, inspiring, and full of character. What started as a single store in the Mississippi Delta quickly grew into a beloved brand known for its distinctive mix of fashion, vintage finds, accessories, and creative inspiration.

In 2007, Libby Story expanded to Starkville, bringing its signature approach to style to a new community. The Starkville store became a favorite destination for women across the region and remained an important part of the brand for many years. In 2009, Libby Story opened at Renaissance in Ridgeland, Mississippi, establishing what would become the company’s flagship location.

Like many small businesses, Libby Story faced challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic. The difficult decision was made to close the Starkville store, allowing the company to focus its energy and resources on continuing to serve customers through its Ridgeland location and online presence.

Today, Libby Story continues to inspire women to embrace creativity, individuality, and self-expression. More than a boutique, it is a celebration of personal style—a place where new treasures, vintage finds, and original ideas come together to help every woman tell her own story.
